“ If you’re looking for all day breakfast or lunch, Check out L Street, you won’t be disappointed. The Shrimp and Grits are fabulous. The 10 soup and sandwich deal changes daily and won’t break the bank. Their Fried chicken is tender and juicy but still crispy and crunchy with a kick. Plus their gravy is made in house and you can tell! Service is always phenomenal, thanks L Street! ”
“ This is an outstanding restaurant. It's a breakfast, brunch, and lunch type place. My husband Michael and I have been here four times now. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and they already remember us (as we're instant regulars). Worth special mention, Elena, Amber, Karla, and Meg are awesome (thank you for your great service)! The food is so good! We've tried a few different things, and they've all been great (chicken parmesan sandwich , cheese grits , fried haddock, cole slaw, side salad , french fries, chicken tortilla soup , chicken corn chowder , and hot tea ). This is a must try in South Bend. ”
“ We went here on 3-16-25 with our 2 kids We absolutely loved the food and the portions were amazing. The kids menu was pretty good however they don't have kid friendly cups with lids we got the togo coffee cups with the coffee straws which worked but wasn't ideal. The staff were amazing and the food came pretty fast after we ordered. Ps the pancakes are the best in south bend area! So definitely recommend this place for both families and adult parties but if you have kids that need straw cups take your own ”
“ Loved the natural and mixed palette decor, friendly service, and delicious eats. Street parking was easy early in the morning. Coffee was a delicious roast that I could have sat drinking for hours. You’ll definitely get what you’re paying for with more than adequate portion sizes. ”
“ First time at L Street Kitchen and it was delicious! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Food had lots of flavor and our coffee never went empty. I had the egg benedict with avocado and chorizo. My friend had the sopes and said they were delicious. We will definitely be back! ”
“ I don’t think I need to urge more people to go here, it had steady business and we had a 30 minute wait for a table of 4 people. That’s not a knock, just the way it is, there’s plenty of turns for 2, 4 top and counter seating. The menu has a nice variety and the food is good. I had the Brisket Breakfast Burrito which was stuffed, I mean STUFFED with an entire breakfast in a tortilla. The brisket was flavorful and added to the dish, if it’s used elsewhere on the menu, I’d encourage the option. I also had a side of Biscuits and Gravy. The gravy is homemade, does not seem to be out of a bag but made in house with the breakfast sausage they use. Breakfast hit the spot and I was good until a light dinner. ”
“ This was my first time visiting South Bend. Just like most people I enjoy a good breakfast place. This place was a short walk from the hotel I was staying in, which made it perfect. I actually went here all three morning I was in town. To start! The server Karen was absolutely amazing!! Her personality and how on top of everything was fantastic. She was great to talk to an very helpful on exchanging items on the menu. She better be getting paid well. I will definitely come back just for her. The food taste great! No complaints there. Each morning I had something different. If you enjoy chicken and waffles, then this is a place to go. I couldn't even finish mine. The eggs tasted very good and every tasted fresh. The cup of fruit was a great variety an again was fresh! Main complaint. The price for a cup of coffee! It is a cup of normal coffee. Nothing special lol. So I feel they should lower the price by .50 to 1. Don't get me wrong Karen had my cup filled every second. I don't think my cup ever got to half full before she added more. Again Karen was fantastic! Even with the traditional breakfast I feel like it could be lowered a 1 to 2. But I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is in the area. ”
“ This is mine and my husbands favorite breakfast place in the area hands down! Everyone is always so nice, the food is always very fresh and the atmosphere is cozy. Their food is consistent, tasty, and flavorful! I’ve ordered multiple things off the menu and they’ve all been great. They’re also gluten free and vegetarian friendly. I always recommend L Street to people who are looking for a good breakfast spot in town. ”
